Poland: export of frozen strawberries

According to Polish Analytical Centre of Customs Administration, between January and July 2009, Poland exported 61.2 thousand t of frozen strawberries at value 63.5 million euro.

Compared to the same period in 2008, the quantity of exported strawberries increased by approximately 8 thousand t, but their value decreased by about 10 million due to lower prices. This year’s export price 1.04 euro/kg was lower by 0.33 euro/kg than last year’s price. About 40 % of strawberries were exported to Germany.
