Poland: forecast on the purchase price of industrial apples

A next part of conflict between fruit farmers and processing industry over the purchase price of industrial apples is gearing up. Polish Association of Juices Producers estimates that the purchase price of industrial apples will be 0.20 PLN (0.048 euro)/kg.

Polish association of fruit farmers and many individual fruit farmers are very disappointed and angry with this price. Many fruit growers says that they won’t be delivering apples. One can expected that the consecutive season with very low prices of industrial apples will result in lower acreage of Polish apple orchards. At present the similar situation is for sour cherries orchards.
