Poland: fruit producers expect higher prices of apples

Producers prices of apples are still at low level 0.40 – 0.50 PLN (0.096-0.12 euro)/kg for apples of red varieties (without the packaging), size 70 +. Fruit producers hope for bigger export and increase in prices at the beginning of 2010.

Then apples from CA should also appear on the market. The costs of storing such apples are higher and producers won't sell them at low prices.

At the moment one can buy mostly apples from ordinary stores and the quality of such apples is lower.
