Poland: further decrease in tomatoes prices

On Wednesday, September 2 the prices of greenhouse tomatoes considerably dropped. Prices of tomatoes B size were from 7.50 PLN (1.83 euro)/carton of 6 kg and prices of BB tomatoes - from 8 PLN (1.95 euro)/carton.

Prices are decreasing although the supply of domestic tomatoes didn’t increase much. However bigger supply of tomatoes imported from the Netherlands can be one of the reasons. On the market there are also big quantities of field grown tomatoes.
