Poland: growing demand for white cabbage

As it was expected in the second half of January one can observe increasing demand for white cabbage.

In the current season the supply of cabbages is much lower than previous season and as a result prices are much higher than last season, when the price of cabbage decreased even to 0.15 PLN (0.037 euro)/kg.

On Tuesday, January 18th the purchase price of cabbage was 0.55 – 0.70 PLN (0.14-0.17 euro)/kg depending on the area of Poland and near Warsaw the price of cabbage for export exceeded 0.80 PLN (0.20 euro)/kg.
