Poland: import of fresh vegetables in April 2009

According to Polish Analytical Centre of Customs Administration in April 2009 Poland imported 33.3 thousand t of fresh vegetables at value 28.6 million euro.

Compared to April 2008 the volume of imported fresh vegetables decreased by 35 %., and the value by 19 %. The most decrease was noted for cabbages (about 70 %), carrot, onion, garlic and tomatoes. However the import of sweet peppers increased by about of 23 % and cucumbers by 10 %.
