Poland: import of garlic between January and September

According to Polish Analytical centre of Customs Administration (CAAC) in the period between January and September Poland imported 4300 t of garlic at value 3.8 million euros.

Import was by about 760 t lower than in the same period of 2008, but its value decreased only by about 200 thousand euros what means that this year the price of garlic was by about 0.10 euro/kg higher than last year.

The biggest amount of garlic was imported from China - over 3400 t at value 2.3 million euros. Chinese garlic is the cheapest and its price was around 0.67 euro/kg
