Poland: increase in apples prices

From the beginning of the year one can observe growing demand for apples intended for export what results in increase in prices (within two weeks prices rose by 0.10 PLN (0.025 euro)/kg).

Apples of Idared variety is in the biggest demand but supply of Idared is sometimes insufficient. At the beginning of January near Grójec the purchase price of Idared, size 70 + was 0.50 PLN (0.16 euro)/kg, and now the purchase price of these apples is even 0.65 PLN (0.16 euro)/kg.

Many fruit growers are very satisfied with this situation and hopes for further increase in prices.
