Poland: increase in price of aubergines

In the current season the crops of aubergines are quite large and since mid-August the price of these vegetables had been decreasing. The minimum average price at the end of August amounted to 2.75 PLN (0.68 euro)/kg.

However, currently on the market one can observe a decreasing supply of aubergines and as a result their prices are increasing. On Tuesday, September 8 the price was 3.15 PLN (0.76 euro)/kg and probably it is not the end of the price increase and one can expect that in the near future the price of aubergines will reach 4.00 PLN (0.97 euro)/kg.
