Poland: low prices of Chinese cabbage

Chinese cabbage is still very cheap. On Friday, October 9, the price of Chinese cabbage in cartons intended for export was from 0.80 PLN (0.19 euro)/kg.

The producer price was from 0.35 PLN (0.08 euro)/kg. Chinese cabbage for Russian market was more expensive (1.10-1.20 PLN (0.26-0.28 euro)/kg) due to the necessity of obtaining a phytosanitary certificate. In the next week the harvest of Chinese cabbage for storage will start, then prices in the wholesale market may move.
