Poland: low supply of greenhouse cucumbers

On the market one can observe the decrease in supply of greenhouse cucumbers. It is a result of unfavourable weather conditions during early period of vegetation; due to low temperatures many flowers of cucumbers fell.

At the moment the supply doesn’t meet the big demand. In consequence the price is unstable. The price of long cucumbers is to 1.80 PLN (0.41 euro)/kg and the price of short cucumbers is to 2.20 PLN (0.50 euro)/kg (in the south of Poland).
