Poland: lower export of fresh vegetables

According to Polish Analytical Centre of Customs Administration (CAAC) between January and August 2009 Poland exported 231.1 thousand t of fresh vegetables at value 91.8 m euro.

Compared to the same period of last year the volume of exported fresh vegetables dropped by 32 % and their value by 33 %. In August the export amounted to 19.6 thousand t of fresh vegetables (-50 %) at value 9.1 m euro (-54 %).
