Poland: lower export of vegetables in April 2009

According to preliminary data of the Polish Analytical Centre of Customs Administration (CAAC) in April this year the export of fresh vegetables amounted to 52.7 thousand t, and its value 16.1 million euro.

Compared to April 2008 the volume and value of export reduced by almost 50 %. The biggest decrease in export was noted for carrot (about 93 %), tomatoes (about 73 %) and onion (59 %).
