Poland: lower import of kiwifruit in 2008

According to preliminary data of Analytical Centre of Customs Administration of (CAAC) in 2008 Poland imported 28 277 t of kiwifruit at value 27,801 million euro.

In January and February 2009 the import of kiwifruit amounted to 7149 t at value 5,033 million euro. As compared to the same period 2008 the import reduced by about 1100 t and its value decreased by 2,4 million euro. The import price dropped from 0.90 to 0.70 euro/kg.
