Poland: lower supply of domestic aubergines and courgettes

Due to lower temperatures the supply of domestic aubergines and courgettes is decreasing what results in price increase.

On Tuesday, September 29 the price of aubergines, packed in boxes of 5 kg was from 3.50 to 4.40 PLN (0.83-1.05 euro)/kg. So far, in the big production area near Przytyk (mazowieckie province) prices of courgettes remained at level 1.30 PLN (0.31 euro)/kg. However the harvest of field-grown courgettes is ending so prices may increase in next future.
