Poland: lower supply of white cabbage

In this season the supply of white cabbage is lower than in 2008. As a result prices are higher than in the corresponding period of last year.

At the moment on the market one can observe decreasing supply of white cabbage because producers do not sell cabbage from cold stores waiting for increase in prices.

On Wednesday, December 30th the most often prices of cabbage was 0.50 – 0.60 PLN (0.12-0.14 euro)/kg, but there was also cabbage at price 0.70 PLN (0.17 euro)/kg.
