Poland: prices of apples stable at the low level

Apples producers and exporters are waiting for January and reduction in customs duty on apples in Russia. They hope that export of apples will much increase after Orthodox Christmas.

So far prices of apples are stable. On Tuesday, December 22nd the price of apples of red varieties, packed in cardboard boxes is from 0.70 PLN (0.17 euro)/kg for size 70+ and from 0.85 PLN (0.20 euro)/kg for size 80+. The price of Idared, also in cartons and size 70 + was 0.75-0.80 PLN (0.18-0.19 euro)/kg.
