Poland: prices of Chinese cabbage still very low

A large supply of Chinese cabbage results in low prices of this vegetable. However, prices are different depending on area of Poland.

The lowest prices are in the south in małopolskie and świętokrzyskie provinces, where purchase prices start from 0.35 PLN (0.08 euro)/kg.

In the center in mazowieckie and łódzkie provinces the purchase prices of Chinese cabbage start from 0.50 PLN (0.12 euro)/kg. Differences in prices depends on the quality and the way of preparation and packaging of cabbage.

The price of good quality product, sized and in boxes on pallets is about 1.00 PLN (0.24 euro)/kg. However, the demand for Chinese cabbage is low everywhere and producers can only wait for better prices next year.
