Poland: prices of domestic greenhouse cucumbers

The price of Polish greenhouse cucumbers has been decreasing for a long time with an exception of a few days with adverse weather in April when cold nights delayed the growth of cucumbers and as a result stopped decrease in their prices.

At present one can also observe delay in the downward trend in prices of cucumbers. On Wednesday, May 6 the price of long cucumbers remained stable compared to Monday price - it was 2.50 – 3.00 PLN (0.57-0.68 euro)/kg. The price of short cucumbers was a little bit higher than at the beginning of the week – it was 3.00 - 3.50 PLN (0.68-0.80 euro)/kg against 2.75 – 3.30 PLN (0.63-0.75 euro)/kg on Monday.
