Poland: prices of tomatoes are barrier to the export to Russia

On Monday, August 17 the prices of tomatoes slightly decreased to the previous levels. Price of B tomatoes was 10-11 PLN (2.38-2.62 euro)/carton of 6 kg and the price of BB tomatoes was 12 PLN (2.86 euro)/carton.

However the price at the level 1.50 – 2.00 (0.36-0.48 euro)/kg are still to high and Polish tomatoes cannot compete on the Russian market, where there are a lot of cheaper tomatoes from the south.
