Poland: Przytyk – the area of sweet peppers production

In the area of Przytyk (mazowieckie province) the purchase of early Chinese cabbage is ending and the harvest of sweet peppers is starting.

Surroundings of Przytyk is one of the biggest production area of peppers in Poland. The first lots of white and green peppers already appeared on the market. On Friday, June 12 the prices of white pepper packed into 5 kg cartons was 5.50 PLN (1.23 euro)/kg and the price of green pepper was 4.50 PLN (1.00 euro)/kg.
