Poland: purchase of carrots for processing started

Some processing plants have already started the purchase of carrots. In the central part of Poland the purchase price of carrots for purée is about 0.30 PLN (0.07 euro)/kg.

In wielkopolskie province plants producing dried vegetables buy the carrot at price 0.20 - 0.23 PLN (0.05-0.06 euro)/kg. Last year the price of carrots for IQF cubes was 0.29 PLN (0.07 euro)/kg and carrots for IQF slices was 0.36 PLN (0.09 euro)/kg.
