Poland: record level of apples export

According to preliminary data from Analytical Centre of Customs Administration (CAAC) in January 2009 Poland exported 91 thousand t of apples at value 23.9 million euro.

In January last year the export of apples amounted to 31.4 thousand t at value 12.9 million euro. It means that volume of export was three times bigger year-on-year and its value was higher by over 80 %. Majority of Polish apples was exported to Russia and Ukraine.
