Poland: slightly bigger demand for Polish apples in Russia

On the Russian market the supply of domestic apples is decreasing and as a result one can observe growing interest in imported fruit, also from Poland.

However till the end of the year the export of Polish apples to Russia probably will not increase considerably because of high customs duty for Polish apples and much lower for apples from Moldova and Serbia. As a result Polish fruit growers cannot expect price increase in the near future. At the moment producer price is from 0.40 PLN (0.096 euro)/kg for apples size 70 +.
