Poland: smaller size tomatoes not always cheaper

Currently B size tomatoes are in bigger demand from domestic as well as foreign recipients than BB or BBB sizes tomatoes. As a result the price of B ones was growing faster.

On Friday, September 4 prices of B tomatoes reached the level 11.00 – 12.00 PLN (2.67-2.91 euro)/carton of 6 kg and prices of BB and BBB tomatoes were 10.00 – 11.00 PLN (2.43-2.67 euro)/carton of 6 kg.
