Poland: the end of purchase of sour cherries

The purchase of sour cherries is slowly ending. This year's season was very bad for fruit farmers. The demand for sour cherries was smaller than in previous years and as a result prices were also low. In south of Poland 40 % fruits remained on trees.

In the central part of Poland sour cherries are still being purchased, but the price is still low - about 0.50 PLN (0.12 euro)/kg.
