Poland: the harvest of Chinese cabbage

Both in the south and in the center of Poland there is harvest of Chinese cabbage. However on Wednesday, October 14 the unexpected winter weather made the harvest difficult.

Fortunately, the temperature did not fall much below freezing, which could adverse influence the quality of cabbage. Weather during harvest is essential for its quality and keeping quality during storage. The winter weather on Wednesday could affect a little the quality. As regards price of Chinese cabbage, it remained stable. The price of cabbage intended for export to Russia (800 - 1300 g, packed in cartons, with safety certificate) was 1.00 - 1.15 PLN (0.24-0.27 euro)/kg.
