Poland: very cheap Chinese cabbage

This time of year prices of Chinese cabbage are usually low. It is the harvest season of this vegetable and a lot of cabbage is placed on the market.

Many producers have not suitable conditions for its storage and it is the key factor influencing prices.

On Tuesday, November 24, the producer price of Chinese cabbage was from 0.35 PLN (0.08 euro)/kg (price without packaging).

The producer price of sorted cabbage, packed in cartons was from 0.70 PLN (0.17 euro)/kg. The export of Chinese cabbage is rather low now and export prices do not exceed 1.00 PLN (0.24 euro)/kg (including packaging).
