Polish market overview 21 - 27.11.2011

In week 47 the average price of onion remained stable at 0.22 (0.05 euro)/kg. Prices of Chinese cabbage were also stable. The average selling price was  0.90 PLN (0.20 euro)/kg. Producer price was 0.40-0.60 PLN (0.09-0.14 euro)/kg.
Price of tomatoes of B size remained stable – 19-22 PLN (4.32-5.00 euro)/6 kg. Price of BB tomatoes increased from 24-25 PLN (5.45-5.68 euro)/6 kg to 24-26 PLN (5.45-5.91 euro)/6 kg.
Prices of oranges imported from Spain were from 37 PLN to 44 PLN (10 euro)/10 kg. Spanish mandarins were sold at 36-52 PLN (8.18-11.82 euro)/10 kg depending on size. Price of lemons from Turkey remained stable – 33-38 PLN (7.50-8.64 euro)/10 kg. Price of Spanish lemons went down to 34-38 PLN (7.73-8.64 euro)/10 kg.
Bananas of well-known brands like Chiquita and Dole became cheaper. Their prices decreased to 65-72 PLN (14.77-16.36 euro)/18 kg. Price of other bananas also fell to 57-64 PLN (12.95-14.54 euro)/18 kg.
Prices of apples were following: 0.85-0.90 PLN (0.19-0.20 euro)/kg for size 70+, 0.95-1.00 PLN (0.21-0.23 euro)/kg for size 80+. Price of Idared increased to 0.85-0.95 PLN (0.19-0.21 euro)/kg for size 70+.
Price of Gala was 1.30-1.50 PLN (0.29-0.34 euro)/kg /kg for 70+, 1.00-1.20 PLN (0.23-0.27 euro)/kg for size 65+ and 1.40-1.60 PLN (0.32-0.36 euro)/kg for red mutants size 70+.
Wholesale prices of citruses remained stable. Price of oranges was 42-48 PLN (9.54-10.91 euro)/9 kg, price of mandarins – 34-38 PLN (7.73-8.64 euro)/10 kg for small fruit and 42-48 PLN (9.54-10.91 euro)/10 kg for fruit of bigger sizes and better quality.
Prices of lemons imported from Turkey also remained stable – 33-38 PLN (7.50-8.64 euro)/10 kg. Price of Spanish lemons was 36-40 PLN (8.18-9.09 euro)/10 kg.
