Polish market overview 31.10-6.11.2011

The average wholesale price of white cabbage increased from 0.17 PLN (0.039 euro)/kg to 0.20 PLN (0.045 euro)/kg. The average selling price of Chinese cabbage decreased from 0.95 PLN (0.216 euro)/kg to 0.93 PLN (0.211 euro)/kg.

Wholesale prices of onion, carrot and potatoes remained stable. The average prices of these vegetables were following:  0.23 PLN (0.052 euro)/kg, 0.48 PLN (0.11 euro)/kg and 0.24 PLN (0.054 euro)/kg adequately.

Prices of apples were following: 0.65-0.70 PLN (0.148-0.159 euro)/kg for size 60+/65+, 0.70-0.80 PLN (0.159-0.182 euro)/kg for size 70+ and 0.85-0.90 PLN (0.193-0.204 euro)/kg for size 80+. Price of Idared which was in higher demand of export companies, increased to 0.75-0.85 PLN (0.17-0.193 euro)/kg for size 70+.

Price of mandarins imported from Spain slightly increased to 34-38 PLN/10 kg for small fruit and 42-48 PLN/10 kg for bigger fruit of better quality.

Price of oranges was 55-60 PLN (12.50-13.64 euro)/14 kg or 43-45 PLN (9.77-10.23 euro)/10 kg.

Price of lemons imported from Turkey remained stable – 33-38 PLN (7.50-8.64 euro)/10 kg.

Price of bananas Chiquita or Dole slightly decreased to 68-75 PLN (15.45-17.04 euro)/18 kg.  Prices of bananas of less known branded were from 61 to 68 PLN (13.86-15.45 euro)/18 kg.
