Poor quality of Spanish tomatoes

This season, Spain has big problems with the quality of tomatoes. Despite this the supply of Spanish tomatoes on the Polish market is quite big. Poor quality of tomatoes from Spain influence their less competitiveness against Moroccan tomatoes, and even Turkish.  The quality of tomatoes from Morocco is also poor but they are much cheaper than Spanish.

On Tuesday, March 2, on the wholesale market in Bronisze the price of Spanish tomatoes size of G was 46 PLN (11.70 €)/carton 6 kg. Price of tomatoes from Morocco was 36 PLN (9.16 €)/6 kg. Turkish tomatoes were sold at price 29 PLN (7.38 €)/carton 6 kg.
