Poor season for lettuces producers

The beginning of the season for domestic lettuce was very bad. The demand was little and as a result prices was at the unexpected low level. Additionally E.coli outbreak contributes to poor sales. At the moment producer prices are following: 0.50 PLN (0.13 euro)/pcs for butterhead lettuce, 0.75 euro (0.20 euro)/pcs for Iceberg lettuce and 0.70 PLN (0.18.euro)/pcs for lollo bionda and rossa.
