Price of Chinese cabbage remains stable

Probably Russian importers will not start buying more soon. There are some reasons of such situation. Firstly Russia has already bought quite a large amount of cabbage.  Secondly, cold weather, which has set in Russia much earlier than in Poland, makes trade more difficult.  The price also does matter. Thanks to Russian demand, Polish prices of good quality Chinese cabbage have increased up to 1.30 – 1.40 PLN/kg (sales price, with carton), and 0.90 – 1.00 PLN/kg (purchase price). It is a bit too much for Russian importers, who would prefer to buy cheaper. Unfortunately, there is no chance for this, mainly due to Chinese cabbage of poor quality. As a result of low supply, prices of Chinese cabbage remain stable even at weaker demand.
