Price of onions

In podkarpackie province companies buying onions to the fresh market are paying 0.14 - 0.16 EUR/kg for onions of 1st class in bags of 15 kg. Last year purchase prices were at the level of 0.21 – 0.24 EUR/kg.

Lower purchase prices are caused by higher supply of onions (by about 15-20 %) in this province. Prices of peeled onions bought by processing plants are at the level of 0.24 -0.25 EUR/kg. Last year price was about 0.33 EUR/kg.
