Prices of domestic and imported tomatoes

Although the domestic demand for tomatoes is low, their prices remained stable due to export to Russia. On Friday, October 15 the selling price of tomatoes in trading companies was 22-24 PLN (5.63-6.14 euro)/6 kg for size BB and 20-22 PLN (5.11-5.63 euro)/6 kg for size B. On the local wholesale markets the prices of tomatoes was lower by even 4.00 PLN (1.00 euro)/box.

Despite low demand from domestic market the supply of imported tomatoes are bigger every week. The price of Dutch and Belgian tomatoes is around 20 PLN (5.11 euro)/6 kg. Additionally tomatoes from Turkey are already available. Price of Turkish tomatoes of B size is 0.45 euro/kg.
