Prices of domestic sweet peppers are still increasing

An awful weather causes that the growth of sweet peppers is slowing down and in consequence the price increase.

In Przytyk (surroundings of Radom) on Monday, September 22nd prices of red sweet peppers in cardboard boxes still stayed at the level of 1.04 EUR/kg, price of green sweet peppers was 0.73 EUR/kg and price of white sweet peppers was 0.82 EUR/kg but the demand is much bigger than the supply and it is hard to buy larger than a few palettes amounts. On wholesale markets price of red sweet peppers exceeds 1.22 EUR/kg and reaches even 1.46 EUR/kg. Price of green sweet peppers locally was up to 1.22 EUR/kg. If the weather conditions don’t improve for longer period one can expect that this year's sweet peppers season will be shorter than the average.
