Prices of onion

Prices of onion were increasing very quickly in the first half of December. At the moment the pace of growth is slower and one can even say about price stabilization at the level of 1.00-1.20 PLN (0.25-0.30 euro)/kg. However some movement in prices can be observed and the minimum purchase price of onion is growing week-on-week by about 0.05 PL (0.012 euro)/kg. The price of imported onion is about 1.40 PLN (0.35 euro)/kg. Market is relatively calm at the moment but situation probably will change in close future due to shortage of onion, especially this of good quality.
