Prices of onion

Situation on the onion market regarding supply, quality and prices remain stable. The supply is low and quality is poor. On Tuesday, November 23, the selling price of onion in the case of bigger lots (truck) was 0.80-0.90 PLN (0.20-0.23 euro)/kg. For small batches prices reached 1.00 PLN (0.25 euro)/kg.

Price of imported onion is also stable. On Tuesday it was 1.00-1.20 PLN (0.25-0.30 euro)/kg.

Processing plants have problems with purchasing onion for peeling due to lack of onion of bigger sizes. Big sizes onion is available but mainly imported so its price is high.
