Prices of onions

Last week purchase prices of onions without leaves had downward trends. In podkarpackie province purchase prices of onion in bags of 15 kg were 0.28 -0.31 EUR/kg.

Purchase prices of onion decreased by 0.06 EUR/kg. Last year at the same time purchase prices were at the level of about 0.31 EUR/kg. According to the newest forecast of GUS this year crop of onion will amount to 650 thousand ton, i.e. 14 percent less than in 2007.
