Prices of tomatoes

Both the factors connected with the vegetative cycle of tomatoes and economic factors can influence short-term fluctuations of market prices of tomatoes.

On Wednesday, June 25th average price of tomatoes size B was 0.85 EUR/kg (increase by 12 %) and tomatoes size BB 0.91 EUR/kg (increase by 7 %). This time price increase are probably caused by higher demand and bigger export to Holland and Great Britain where there is temporary lack of tomatoes from Spain
