Processing plants pay less for bilberries

Last year purchase prices of bilberries were very high and average purchase price was at level of 2.93 EUR/kg. This year price is lower and last week price of bilberries delivered to the plant was about 1.79 EUR/kg and in the purchasing centres 1.64 EUR/kg.

According to processing plants last year prices were too high and a result some plants stayed with expensive deep-frozen bilberries. Polish bilberries had to compete with fruits from Belarus and Ukraine.
