Production of apples in Hungary

According to forecast crops of apples in Hungary in 2008 will amount to 525 thousand ton, over 2.5 times more than last year, which was disastrous as regards apples harvests in a few European states, among others in Poland.

In Hungary the production of dessert apples is being assessed at 272 thousand ton and apples for processing at 252 thousand ton.
