Relatively high prices of Gala

Despite the relatively small size, which is characteristic for apples of Gala variety, they are eagerly bought by traders exporting  apples to the east. Crisp and juicy fruit with a sweet taste are very popular among Russian consumers. 

The price of Gala is definitely higher compared to prices of other red varieties. Currently, traders in Mazowsze region in the area of Grójec purchase these apples, size 65 + from cold stores at price from 1.00 to 1.20 PLN (0.24-0.29 €)/kg depending on the colour.

In the area of Lublin the purchase price of such fruit is from 1.20 to 1.40 PLN (0.29-0.34 €)/kg.

The lowest producer price for Gala is in the area of Sandomierz - from 0.80 to 1.00 PLN (0.20-0.24 €)/kg.
