Season for red currants has started

Purchase of red currants for industry has already started in lubelskie province, one week earlier than last year. The price for fruit directly deliver to processing plants is 1.70-1.90 PLN (0.43-0.48 euro)/kg. In companies which collect fruit from producers the price of red currant is 1.50-1.70 PLN (0.38-0.43 euro)/kg. So far prices are higher by 0.50-0.80 PLN (0.13-0.20 euro)/kg than last season when prices were 0.90-1.20 PLN (0.23-0.30 euro)/kg. Despite this fact producers are not satisfied with current prices.
