Spanish sweet pepper will be very expensive

Heavy snowfall which hit Southern Europe last week caused further damages to vegetables crops in Spain. The supply of Spanish red pepper on the Polish market significantly decreased, and as it was expected it resulted in large increase in prices of pepper. The price rose by 8 PLN (2.06 €) per carton 5 kg at least week-on week. On Tuesday, March 16, the price of red sweet pepper was 55 PLN (14.14 €)/ carton. One can expect further increase in prices of sweet pepper.
