Stable price of sweet pepper

Due to unfavourable weather the supply of domestic sweet pepper is still low. The situation will not improve this season which is almost finished. The quality of field grown pepper is poor and only pepper grown under protection can be intended for fresh market. As a result prices of domestic pepper are stable at relatively high level. On Friday, September 17, the selling price of red and yellow pepper was 4.00-4.30 PLN (1.01-1.09 euro)/kg, the price of white pepper – 3.00 PLN (0.76 euro)/kg and green pepper – 2.20-2.60 PLN (0.56-0.66 euro)/kg.
