Supply of white cabbage still insufficient

Supply of white cabbage is still insufficient. Situation, especially in the south of Poland, may improve only at the end of August when cabbage from later plantings is harvested.

For now, the purchase price (producer price) of cabbage in trading companies is 0.90-1.20 PLN (0.22-0.30 €)/kg but many firms do not offer cabbage at all because it is difficult to collect wholesale quantities of this vegetable.

The worst situation is in the south of the country affected by spring flood, and most of cabbage is delivered there from other part of Poland.
