This year will be not good for blackcurrants

As already reported this year weather was unfavourable for blackcurrants and forecast regarding crops was at level of not too good last year.

It turned out that it was not the end of bad news. Storms and hailstorms which went through south east Poland on Monday, June 23rd made great losses in plantations of blackcurrants. Some plantations in Podkarpacie region were almost completely destroyed. Therefore the purchase price of blackcurrants might be high this year. As supply might be low processing plants will have to compete for raw materials.
