Tomatoes prices decrease

On Wednesday, June 18th prices of tomatoes started decreasing and on Thursday, June 19th price reduction was already big. It is possible to say about change the short-term price trend.

When we wrote previously, prices of tomatoes were increasing through a few June days, what was caused by reduced volumes of tomatoes on the market. Price increase stopped on Tuesday on the level of 0.86 EUR/kg for tomatoes size B and 0.96 EUR/kg for tomatoes size BB.

Prices on this level turned out to be barrier for effective demand and bigger volumes of tomatoes resulted in price decrease. On Thursday, June 19th average price was 0.79 EUR/kg for tomatoes of size B and 0.88 EUR/kg for tomatoes size BB.
