Tomatoes – variable prices

On Friday tomatoes were very expensive. It was a result of cool and rainy weather  which caused that the demand was higher than supply. Prices of tomatoes in size B increased even to 35.00 PLN/ 6 kg, BB up to 37.00 PLN/ 6 kg. Moreover everybody expected that on Monday prices will significantly go down.

Expectations concerning decrease in prices have been confirmed. The supply of tomatoes was much bigger on Monday. Prices of tomatoes in size B fell down to 26.00 – 28.00 PLN/ 6kg, and BB to 28.00 – 30.00 PLN/ 6kg. Thanks to this Russian importers started buying much more vegetables. This situation causes that we can expect stabilization in prices in so far as the weather change.
